Alix and Summer on Gorilla Safari in Rwanda

Alix and Summer Gorilla Trekking Review in Rwanda

These were 2 sisters on a 3 nights and 3 day gorilla safari in Rwanda with African Jungle Adventures Limited (www.rwandagorillatrekking.com).  The trip ran between 7th and 9th October 201 4. Alix and Summer spent 2 nights in Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge and one night after their trip at Step Town Hotel in Kigali.

They arrived at Mid day at Kanombe International Airport, they were picked by Baker (Tour driver / Guide) and transferred them to Kigali city for lunch, there after they went to Gisozi Genocide memorial Museum in Kigali where about 25000 people perished during the 1994 genocide.

Later Baker drove them to Volcanoes National Park, a home to mountain gorillas in Rwanda. This is a 90 minutes drive, going through beautiful rolling hills for which Rwanda is known for, arriving at Le Bambou gorilla lodge by early evening, dinner and overnight.

The next day was for mountain gorilla tracking and afternoon guided community walk where they visited different local communities surrounding Volcanoes National park.

Day 3 was for golden monkey tracking adventure still in Volcanoes National park, then we transferred back to Kigali, dinner and overnight stay Step Town hotel, below was Alix and Summer’s feedback report after their gorilla trip in Rwanda with African Jungle Adventures ltd.

Hello Mathias, thank you for organizing such a wonderful gorilla trek in Rwanda. This was our life dream to see gorillas in the wild in Africa. The vehicle was five and very comfortable, Baker was great, with very good driving skills, knowledgeable about Rwanda. Please forward my appreciation to him. We shall recommend your company to our friends in Canada.
